Well she's here!!!

Ok well I have to admit that I am sooo behind on this blog and I haven't even started! I am writing this post well after our baby has come into this world but I now know why people fall off the face of the earth when they have a baby, there isn't much time for anything else! But we've now got a sleep schedule in place that is affording much more time. So please bare with me as I pretend to announce my child's birth like it happened yesterday and eventually I'll catch up!

She's here! She's here!

On June 6th at 1:46 pm our sweet Hadley Drew came into the world. She weighed a very healthy 8 lbs 6 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

She is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and Chad and I are just over the moon in love with her.

The Start of a New Blog

Well since we've decided to move away from EVERYONE we know and love, I thought that a blog would be the best way for everyone to keep up with the precious baby through blogging about her. So thus it is the start of Sweet Baby H! I'm really hoping to be able to keep this up as a way to chronicle her life as well. Please know that I will eventually make this a private blog but will be happy to provide loved ones with a login and password down the road. I just don't want any creepers leering in at our little one.

Ok so where are we at? Well I am 4 days from my due date and "patiently" waiting on little girls arrival. Actually I am rather at peace with waiting right now. I am totally uncomfortable but I've gotten used to it over time. For a while it seemed like we were crawling towards the finish line but as time goes by it seems to be going faster and faster! It's weird to think that in just a few days I will be a mom to someone for the rest of their lives. Eek! When it's put that way it seems like time is rushing by!

In case you weren't aware of all our comings and goings here are ALL the things we have dealt with since we became pregnant:
- Chad found out shortly after that his region was up for sale, so we waited around for 2
months to find out our fate
- We then found out that he sold BUT was offered a promotion in Oklahoma. I burst into huge
pregnancy tears because we both knew he needed to take it
- We put the house up for sale and Chad left for Oklahoma where we spent about 4 months
apart (tears were shed on both sides of the table at this one)
- We got the house sold, found a good rent house just in time and I joined my husband
(finally) in Oklahoma and quickly began getting settled
- Then Mother Nature decided to let us know what it's really like living in tornado alley
and our new little town was struck by a tornado which took out about 163 structures and
and killed 6 people. I still thank God for watching over us that day. Nothing spells
fear like hiding in a bathtub 8 months pregnant. The weather here will forever freak me
out!
- Now things have slowed down considerably and we are hoping for them to stay that way,
minus the chaos that comes with having a newborn of course!

Well that is all from me for now. I believe that our next update will be pictures of our sweet baby!
